What is Charity?

Charity, my mother explained, is taking something of ones self and giving it to strangers. She tell's the story of the Monk who gave his under garments to a beggar in the street, on the way to church, during a cold winters night.

In Mathew 25, Jesus is talking about the poor, the hungry, the strangers, the widows and that it is right and important that we should care for them.

But there are so many, where do we start and how can we make sure our donations are being used in the manner Jesus commanded us.

Rev Themi is such a man; he has given all that he has to help the poor without discrimination and in the light of our Lord Jesus Christ.
