US Firms join P4K/PK4A to feed the hungry

Dear Rev Themi & friends around the world

I can’t help to reflect upon my recent trip to Sierra Leone. The thoughts which come to my mind are all about the precious children. I can still see them in their school outfits, many with dirty legs, some with mud in their hair. The most vivid memory was a little girl who came up to me during school break and stood by my side, staring at me. She quietly spoke, “I am hungry.” My heart dropped as I had no food to give her. Other children started to gather around us. Her eyes did not leave mine. I motioned to her to walk towards the jeep. Inside I had a protein shake. I thought perhaps I could give her this and it would energize her and help diminish her hunger. She approached the door and so did about 30 other hungry kids. The jeep was parked against the building so I thought if she could squeeze between the car and the wall I could surely hand her the shake to drink. I motioned for her to go to the other side and then opened the door and handed her the large cup. No sooner did she take a gulp, other little hands started to grab and pull it away from her lips. After the third child pulled it away, the shake almost spilled on the ground, eventually, Six children took gulps after that and in a matter of a minute it was all gone…..

From that moment forth, it seemed that every-time I think about Fr Themi I think about the malnourished children and what can we do to help.

A few moths ago I spoke to our committee here in New Jersey (USA) and the committees in Australia and we all began searching for some way to make a substantial difference in the children’s diet. We put our heads together and found out that on our committees we have doctors, nurses and nutritionists already within our ranks. Aftre research we were led to UNICEF and from there our Lord opened doors with VMP Nutrition Foundation and Mycell Technologies who have now joined forces with us to feed the poor school children of a little forgotten area called Waterloo just out side of Freetown, Sierra Leones Capital city.

Mycell Technologies is an ingredients and technology company that develops proprietary liquid formulation of stable, highly concentrated Omega-3s for use in food, beverage, medical and nutritional products and VMP Nutrition Foundation was established by Cesar Rodriguez to wage a campaign against malnutrition, as he puts it “the silent enemy that kills one child under 5 years old every six seconds”. These two companies have chosen Paradise 4 Kids charity organisation and offered to fund the first round of Food Supplement approved by UNICEF at NO COST.

“God is Good” , This is a huge donation that will save lives!

Unfortunately, it is a temporary solution. We need to raise funds to be able to continue to provide this product on an ongoing basis. Rev Themi our man on the ground, in Sierra Leone, is currently back in his home country of Australia rising awareness for this very issue and seeking supporters to pledge $50 a month to feed one child.

Please join our efforts in finding friends, relatives and co-workers to help feed one child per year!
It comes down to under $50 per month, less than a cup of coffee a day!
We can give these children a chance to grow up healthier and think clearly so they can focus on learning and become educated, therefore changing the course of poverty in their part of the world.
